How Partnerships with Companies Strengthen Our Adult SEND Provision

At The Puddle Project, we believe in the power of partnership. When we team up with local businesses, national companies, and community-minded organisations, the impact goes far beyond a donation or a one-off event. These relationships open up new opportunities, drive innovation, and bring real-world value to the adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who attend our day provision.

Why Partnerships Matter

For many adults with SEND, the world of work and business can feel out of reach. That’s where our partnerships step in to make the impossible feel possible. Whether it’s volunteering time, sharing skills, donating equipment, or co-creating projects, each partnership introduces our adults to new environments, builds confidence, and shows them their contribution is valued.

Real Experiences, Real Growth

From corporate volunteering days to joint sports tournaments and hands-on skill-sharing sessions, every interaction helps develop communication, teamworking, and resilience. Businesses get to meet capable, enthusiastic individuals who just need the right platform to shine. In turn, our adults gain practical experience and a sense of belonging and pride.

What It Means for Our Provision

Working with companies means our provision becomes more than just a day service – it becomes a stepping stone. A place where real work ethic is nurtured, where adults see their future potential, and where businesses see ability, not disability. These collaborations also allow us to trial new ideas – like income-generating micro-enterprises, supported employment models, or inclusive community events – with backing and credibility.

A Message to Businesses

If you’re a business looking to make a difference, don’t underestimate the impact of showing up. A visit, a talk, a shared project – it all matters. Together, we can challenge stereotypes, build inclusive futures, and offer genuine life experiences for adults with SEND.

Because when we work together, we are stronger.

Originally planned for 3rd October, we hadn’t realised that Storm Amy was also making her appearance that weekend. But when our adults heard about the weather, their determination only grew stronger
