In the world of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), the most impactful work always happens when we are not competing, but collaborating. We at The Puddle Project had long admired and been supported by our friends at Walton Lea Partnership. They have been a flagship day service for adults with SEND for years, and their guidance was invaluable to us, especially as we continue to grow our own adult provision.
This was never about two charities vying for attention; it was about two teams working together, always with the same goal: providing a person-focused service that helped individuals grow and thrive. It is a special relationship, built on shared values and a commitment to our community.
Recently, Walton Lea experienced a power outage that forced them to close for a day, leaving many families across Warrington without their vital services. Knowing the impact this would have, we knew it was our turn to give back.
Thanks to the incredible support of Remarkable Charity and Wargrave House School, we were honoured to open our entire facility to Walton Lea. The day was a powerful example of what could be achieved when organisations put unity above all else. We were thrilled to welcome the Walton Lea community and show the world the strength of working together for the greater good. It was a beautiful reminder that when we stood side-by-side, we could create truly remarkable things.
