Welcome to our March update! Spring is in the air, and we have plenty of reasons to celebrate. It’s been a month of fun, festivities and incredible talent. Take a look at what we’ve been up to below!

  • We are thrilled to highlight the dedication of our incredible adults, who will be running the HAF program this coming half term on Wednesday, 8th April. Their commitment to supporting the community remains at the heart of everything we do.
  • Looking ahead, we are excited to announce an Open Day at The Puddle on Thursday, 28th May. This is a wonderful opportunity for individuals and their families to explore our facilities, meet our staff, and learn more about joining our Adult Day Provision. We look forward to welcoming you!
  • We are also delighted to announce that The Puddle will be attending the upcoming Community Open Day on Friday, 24th April. Held at the Bewsey Community Centre, this event is a fantastic opportunity for us to engage with our local community. Come down and see us!
  • Get ready to embrace the great outdoors without sacrificing your comfort! The Puddle is excited to host an on-site camping trip, scheduled for either 28th–29th May or 30th–31st July. This unique getaway offers a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, with hopefully more comfort than your average camping adventure.
  • We are incredibly proud of our adults who will be volunteering at the ‘Forget Me Not’ Café. By lending a helping hand, engaging with visitors and making a positive impact within our local community. This partnership is a wonderful way for our adults to build new connections, develop skills and give back in a meaningful setting. Next time you’re at the café, be sure to keep an eye out for their friendly faces!

Can-Do Crew

Our dedicated Can-Do Crew recently took a purposeful stroll over to the Burtonwood Community Centre to collect cans for their collection. This outing was a fantastic way to combine exercise, help the local community and contribute to their mini enterprise. Thanks to their commitment and initiative, they are making a real difference to the enviroment while buliding a project they can be proud of.

We were thrilled to welcome the team from X-Metals recently, who stopped by to collect the latest “mountain” of cans. A big well done to the tireless efforts from the Can-Do Crew in preparing those huge bags, we are proud to announce that the team has successfully increased the total funds contributed to their growing enterprise. This collaboration continues to turn our recycling efforts into real rewards, and we are so grateful for the ongoing support that helps their enterprise thrive.

  • We recently had a fantastic time participating in the Macintyre Quiz held at the Living Well Hub. It was a brilliant opportunity for our group to put their knowledge to the test while enjoying a lively, friendly atmosphere of the hub. Beyond the competition, the event provided a wonderful space for connecting with others in the community and sharing plenty of laughs. We are already looking forward to the next one!
  • The Puddle was recently filled with extra joy as we came together to celebrate Meg’s and Matty’s birthdays! It was a wonderful day of fun and festivities, complete with plenty of laughter and lots and lots of birthday cake!
  • The Puddle hosted an Arts and Crafts Competition, and let’s just say the competition was fierce. It was a fantastic day showcasing the immense creativity of our adults, with everyone’s artistic talents on full display. From bold designs to intricate details, the room was brimming with inspiration.
