Welcome to our June Newsletter! Its been a month filled with exciting news and wonderful experiences. From enjoying brilliant community trips and performances to unforgettable nights out, and the completion of our brand new building. There’s so much more to share from a truly busy month at The Puddle. Take a look at what we’ve been up to….
Upcoming Events:
- We are delighted to share that The Puddle team will be attending Disability Awareness Day on Sunday 12th July. We look forward to meeting new faces, connecting with the community, and raising awareness of the support, activities and opportunities available at The Puddle.
- We are excited to announce that The Kings Trust will be joining us on 28th July and 30th July for two fun- filled days of sports and activities. We are looking forward to welcoming The Kings Trust and enjoying what promises to be two fantastic days packed with fun, teamwork, and memorable experiences.
- We are pleased to share that Friends Play will be joining us on Monday 29th July for another HAF. The day will provide a great opportunity for families to spend quality time together, get involved in a range of fun activities and enjoy what the site has to offer. We can’t wait for another fantastic day together.
- We are also thrilled to announce our upcoming On-Site Camping Night at The Puddle on 30th-31st July. This special event is a fantastic opportunity to build confidence, encourage independence, create lasting memories and enjoy the outdoors in a safe and familiar environment. We can’t wait to share this exciting experience with everyone and look forward to making it a night to remember.
- Excitingly, Animal Teach will be visiting The Puddle on Friday 31st July. This visit will give our adults the opportunity to meet and interact with a variety of animals while learning more about them in a fun and engaging way. The session will provide a hands- on experience, encouraging curiosity, confidence, and learning through animal encounters.
Can-Do Crew
A huge thank you to everyone who has donated and supported The Can-Do Crews mini enterprise so far. Your generosity and encouragement mean the world to us.
Thanks to all your amazing support, The Can-Do Crew have received more donations than ever this month! Every donation makes a real difference and helps the Crew continue to grow and achieve their goals.
Key Events:
- Some of the team enjoyed a special trip to the Salvation Army to watch one of our amazing adults perform in her pantomime. Bethan was absolutely brilliant on stage and had everyone smiling from start to finish. Superstar!
- This month, The Puddle Family enjoyed a fantastic night out at the Irish Club for a Lady Gaga tribute night. It was an amazing evening filled with laughter, joy, and plenty singing and dancing. Everyone had a wonderful time showing off their best moves on the dance floor, with lots of boogieing and great memories made. It brought everyone together and left us all smiling! Another one for the memory book!
- The Puddle vs New Balance Ultimate Sports Tournament! A huge thank you to the team from New Balance (Warrington) for volunteering and spending the day with our crazy bunch. The competition was fierce, the energy was high, and everyone had an amazing time. We are also pleased to announce The Puddle team did it again and added another title to the collection! At this rate we will need a bigger trophy!
- We are excited to share that our brand-new building has been built and is now complete, ready to use! After months of planning and hard work, its fantastic to see it all come together. This new space will provide even more opportunities for our adults to learn, grow, and enjoy new experiences. Exciting times ahead for everyone at The Puddle!
