How do we get involved?

There are many ways to get involved with The Puddle Project! Whether you’re an individual, a family, or an organisation, we welcome your support and participation. Here’s how you can join us:

Attending Sessions – If you or a loved one have SEND and want to take part in our activities, you can join by becoming a member at Families United, you can contact them by email familiesutd@yahoo.com.

Employment Opportunities – As we grow, we provide work experience and employment for individuals with SEND. Keep an eye on our openings!

Partnering with Us – Organisations and local businesses can collaborate with us to provide services, funding, or activities for our community.

Volunteering – We’re always looking for enthusiastic volunteers and local businesses to help with activities, site development, and events. No experience is necessary—just a willingness to support our inclusive community!

When is the Puddle Project open?

The Puddle Project operates throughout the year, offering scheduled sessions and activities for children and adults with SEND. As we are not open to the general public, our sessions are pre-arranged and run in partnership with Wargrave House School, Families United, and Homestart.

Our activities include weekday and weekend sessions, special events, and seasonal programs. Since our schedule can vary, the best way to stay updated is by following us on Facebook or reaching out to us directly for specific timings.

Is it Puddle Project open to the public?

No, The Puddle Project is not open to the general public. Our space is specifically designed as an inclusive and safe environment for children and adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

We provide tailored activities, support, and experiences that cater to the unique needs of our participants, ensuring they have a secure, enjoyable, and accommodating space to learn, grow, and have fun. Access to The Puddle Project is through pre-arranged sessions, programs, and referrals to maintain the best experience for our community.

How is the Puddle funded?

The Puddle Project is self-sustaining through continuous reinvestment, allowing us to raise service level standards and expand our offerings. We achieve this through our strong working partnerships with Wargrave House School, Families United, and Homestart, as well as through funding contributions.

By reinvesting in our facilities, programs, and staff, we ensure that The Puddle Project remains a high-quality, inclusive space for children and adults with SEND. Our approach enables us to grow sustainably while maintaining the best possible support for our community.

Can we donate?

That’s really kind of you, but no need! We don’t ask for donations – we just love your support and community involvement. The best way to help us is by following us on Facebook, sharing our posts, and spreading the word about what we do.

What animals do you have?

At The Puddle Project, we have a wonderful mix of friendly animals that add to our inclusive and sensory-rich environment! Our animals provide opportunities for interaction, learning, and therapeutic experiences for children and adults with SEND.

Some of our residents include:

  • Chickens – Great for gentle interactions and collecting eggs.
  • Rabbits – Soft, cuddly, and perfect for sensory experiences.
  • Ducks – Fun to watch and care for.
  • Guinea Pigs – Small, squeaky, and love a good cuddle!
  • Stick Insects – Fascinating to watch and great for exploring nature up close.
